  1. I have a 1994 Winnebago Brave and I can tell you that there is likely about a 1/16th inch foam behind that material. That foam due to heat fails after time and I have not found a way to just glue it back together. For the most part RV people have been pulling this material down after removing all ceiling mounted items (lights, AC, etc...) then scraping and cleaning the wood that it was adhered to. You then have to find a material you like and get the proper bonding matrix and go about glueing the new product to the ceiling. Its not easy I can tell you that, its a whole lot of work and is a messy job when pulling the old stuff off the ceiling and scraping it clean, you will have to put down lots of plastic. Remember to have good ventilation when applying the glue matrix.
